In the case of inductive load, when the SSR is turned off by the on-state, due to the inconsistent phase of the current and voltage, a large voltage rise rate dv/dt (commutation dv/dt) will be generated at both ends of the bidirectional thyristor, so that the value exceeds the commutation dv/dt index of the bidirectional thyristor (typical value is 10V/μs), it will lead to delayed shutdown or even failure. The single-phase thyristor is unipolar and is only affected by the static voltage rise rate dv/dt (typical value is 100V/μs). The commutation dv/dt of the enhanced SSR composed of two unidirectional thyristors in reverse parallel is much higher than that of the ordinary SSR composed of one bidirectional thyristor. Therefore, enhanced SSR should be selected in inductive or capacitive load situations.
In industrial automation, NNG series of solid state relays (SSRs) are widely used. They are commonly used to control heating elements, motors and other high-power equipment in the manufacturing process. Because SSRs can respond quickly and provide high stability, they play an important role in automated production lines, improving production efficiency and product quality. In addition, SSRs are also critical in temperature control systems, enabling precise control of heating or cooling elements to achieve precise temperature regulation.
SSRs is also widely used in mechanical equipment, such as controlling the start and stop of motors, pumps, fans and other equipment to achieve precise control of mechanical equipment. In medical devices, the high performance and reliability of SSRs make them ideal for critical components such as medical imaging devices.
In addition, SSRs are used in photovoltaic systems to switch DC loads in solar inverters and to switch lighting circuits in lighting controls, providing quiet operation and reducing electrical noise. They are also used in consumer electronics, such as microwave ovens and coffee makers, to control heating elements.
In general, the NNG series of solid-state relays play an important role in the field of industrial automation because of their contactless, high reliability, fast switching and long life, and are key components for achieving precise control and improving system stability.
